Hello! My name is Bianca and I’m a wife, mother, foodie and fitness lover from Michigan. I started running regularly in 2013 to get fit. I also realized what a great stress reliever it was! If you asked me to describe myself from 2014 to early 2017, I’d say I was a ‘challenge seeker.’ That led me to run 8 half marathons, two 25k’s, two marathons, complete a sprint triathlon, and a century ride (100-mile bike). I was always looking for the next big challenge. Things have since changed, and while I still enjoy a good challenge, I’ve become focused on exercising for heart health, as well as for mental clarity and enjoyment. As far as racing goes, I’m turning my focus to 5-10k’s for the most part. I’m excited to see my time improvements now that I’ll be focusing solely on these shorter distances.
I’ve always loved the challenge and how going for a run makes me feel. I love the example it sets for my daughter. I love that she sees the amazing impact that being active can have on your life. I love that running brings my entire family together. Competing or not, they’re all there at the races. Other than running, I like to bike, take group fitness classes, lift weights, and practice yoga.
Some of my favorite things: Mexican food, music (everything from Hanson to Keith Urban to Maroon Five), a weekend with family at the beach, and my adorable dog.
